This project was in collaboration with sculptor and photographer Evan Bar (www.evanbarr.com). We constructed 12- 3’x3’ frames to stretch canvas, which held various images dealing with nature and industry. The images were acetone Xerox transfers by the use of a litho-press. Once installed we projected 4 films dealing with similar comparisons but by reversing the nature/industry roles (by size and shape in the frame) while adding a set of different films dealing with mundane activities. Florescent light fixtures were placed behind each still canvas to illuminate it from behind. The hope was to question our distinctions between the immediacy of motion film in relation to how we put value into the passage of time.
